Abdel Zagre: Burkina Faso forward linked with UC AlbinoLeffe move from Ravenna

Burkina Faso striker Abdel Zagre is being linked with a summer move from Ravenna to fellow Serie C side UC AlbinoLeffe as the Bergamo-based club explore attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Zagre, 22, is under contract at Ravenna until 30 June 2027 but could be the subject of negotiations after returning from a loan spell at Forli last season. His profile in the Italian lower leagues has grown over the past two years, and AlbinoLeffe are understood to view him as a potential reinforcement for their Serie C A campaign.

The centre-forward, born in Bobo-Dioulasso and standing at 1.87m, has built a varied early career across several countries. He arrived in Europe with FC Sion before spells in the Swiss Super League, Challenge League and Turkeys 1. Lig, later dropping into Italys Serie D and Serie C as he sought regular minutes.

Zagre joined Ravenna in January 2025 after a short period without a club and has since been used across league and cup competitions. His most productive spell in front of goal came earlier in his career with 14 strikes in 29 appearances in a 1. Liga campaign, while he has also scored in both the Coppa Serie C and Swiss Cup.

Ravenna retained his registration at the end of his Forli loan on 30 June 2026, and any move to AlbinoLeffe would therefore require an agreement with the Romagna club, who hold him for another year beyond the coming season.
