Aaron Wan-Bissaka: Fenerbahce eye move for West Ham and DR Congo right-back
Fenerbahce are exploring a move for DR Congo and England-qualified defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham United after the Hammers relegation to the Championship.
The 28-year-old right-back, who joined West Ham from Manchester United in August 2024 for 17.6 million, is understood to be on the Turkish clubs shortlist as they look to strengthen ahead of the new Super Lig campaign. Wan-Bissaka is under contract at the London Stadium until June 2031 and is currently valued at around 15 million, meaning any deal would likely require a significant fee.
West Hams drop from the Premier League at the end of the 2025-26 season has left the futures of several senior players under scrutiny, with interest gathering around those on long-term contracts. Wan-Bissaka has extensive top-level experience, having made more than 230 Premier League appearances and featuring regularly in European competition earlier in his career.
Born in London and capable of representing both DR Congo and England, Wan-Bissaka has recently been involved on the international stage, playing every minute of DR Congos four matches at the 2026 World Cup. He was part of the Manchester United side that lifted the FA Cup in 2024, adding to a League Cup success in 2023.
Fenerbahce are monitoring the situation but talks over a transfer have not yet reached an advanced stage, with West Ham in a strong position to negotiate given the length of the defenders contract.
