Tolu Arokodare: Fiorentina linked with move for Wolves Nigeria striker
Fiorentina are exploring a move for Nigeria forward Tolu Arokodare from Wolves after the Midlands clubs relegation from the Premier League to the Championship. The 25-year-old centre-forward, who joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk on 1 September 2025, is under contract at Molineux until 30 June 2029, meaning any deal is likely to require a significant fee.
Arokodare made 33 Premier League appearances for Wolves last season, scoring three times and adding one assist, and also struck twice in the EFL Cup as he adjusted to English football. His current market valuation stands at around 20m, having previously peaked at 25m following an impressive spell in Belgium.
Before moving to England, Arokodare established himself at Genk with 27 goals and 10 assists in 68 Jupiler Pro League outings, form that culminated in him finishing as the leagues top scorer in 2024-25 with 21 goals. He had earlier made his name in France with Amiens and in Latvia with Valmiera, and was twice a top scorer in cup or league competitions.
Standing at 1.97m and preferring his right foot, the Lagos-born striker has experience in European competition, including Champions League and Europa Conference League qualifiers, which adds to his appeal for Serie A side Fiorentina as they weigh up attacking options.
Wolves paid 26m to sign Arokodare less than a year ago, and with three years remaining on his deal, the club are under no pressure to sell despite the financial impact of relegation, leaving Fiorentina to assess whether they are willing to match Wolves valuation.
