Barcelona close in on Jesse Bisiwu signing
Barcelona are close to securing Jesse Bisiwu after improving their offer to €10 million for the Club Brugge winger.
The 18-year-old has been on Barça’s radar for some time, with the club tracking his progress closely since his Under-20 World Cup appearance. They now believe the young Belgian could be a smart long-term addition, even if he is unlikely to walk straight into the senior side.
Bisiwu has already turned down a contract renewal at Brugge, which puts the Belgian club in a difficult position. His current deal runs until June 2027, so Brugge still hold leverage in the talks, but they may prefer to sell now rather than risk losing him later for less. Barcelona are also reported to have beaten off interest from Premier League clubs in order to stay in front of the race.
The left winger is expected to begin with Barça’s reserve team if the move goes through, although the Catalan club see him as a player with real first-team potential. The remaining issue is a possible future sale clause, which could decide how quickly the deal is finalized.
