Abdelgawad Gouda: Egyptian right-back joins Mostakbal Sport on free transfer

Egyptian defender Abdelgawad Gouda has joined Mostakbal Sport on a free transfer from Delphi SC, signing a contract with the club until 30 June 2028.

The 23-year-old right-back, born in Cairo, arrives after one season with Delphi, having moved there in 2025 following a spell without a club. His switch strengthens Mostakbal Sports defensive options on the right side, where he operates primarily as a traditional full-back.

Gouda, who stands at 1.86m and is right-footed, has been registered for domestic and continental competitions in Egypt in recent seasons, including the Premier League, Egypt Cup and CAF Champions League, as well as the Egyptian League Cup and the Club World Cup. His versatility in competing across multiple tournaments adds depth to the Mostakbal Sport squad ahead of the new campaign.

Before stepping into senior football, Gouda came through the youth system at Al Ahly, progressing from the clubs youth ranks to the U19s in 2020 and then to the U21 side in 2022. He left Al Ahlys U21 team in 2024, later rebuilding his career via his move to Delphi.

The move to Mostakbal Sport marks Goudas latest step in Egyptian football, with the full-back now tied to his new club for the next two seasons.
