Loum Tchaouna: Franco-Chadian winger joins Coventry City from Burnley
Franco-Chadian winger Loum Tchaouna has joined Coventry City from Burnley, signing a long-term deal with the Premier League club until 2031. The 22-year-old right-sided attacker makes the move after a single season at Turf Moor.
Tchaouna arrives at Coventry having experienced top-flight football in both England and Italy. He spent the 2025-26 campaign with Burnley in the Premier League, following a transfer from Lazio the previous summer. His new contract runs to 30 June 2031, underlining Coventrys intention to make him a central part of their attacking plans.
Born in N’Djamena and standing at 1.80m, Tchaouna is a left-footed right winger whose career has already taken in Serie A, the Premier League, Ligue 1 and European competition. Across his time in Italy and England, he has accumulated close to 60 Serie A appearances and close to 30 Premier League outings, as well as featuring in the Europa League and the Europa Conference League.
Before his move to England with Burnley, Tchaouna joined Lazio from Salernitana in 2024 after impressing in Serie A. His earlier years were spent in France with Rennes and Dijon, where he rose through the youth and reserve ranks into senior football.
On the international stage at youth level, he has already shown his goalscoring potential, finishing as top scorer at the UEFA Under-19 European Championship in 2021 with four goals.
Tchaounas transfer from Burnley to Coventry is effective immediately, with his registration complete and his contract in place through to the summer of 2031.
