According to Africa Top Sports.com’s morning report, Jérémy Ménez’s future at PSG seems uncertain after a recent clash during Wednesday’s Champions League match. Expressing frustration for not being subbed in, Ménez left the bench when he was expected to play the final minutes of the game, a move that may have serious consequences.
Following this incident, he skipped the post-match clean-up and headed straight home. A close associate defended him, suggesting, “Even if he doesn’t have to leave like that, we have the impression that he drinks glasses all the time.”
In the latest development, it has been confirmed that Ménez will not be part of the squad for the upcoming match against OM in the French L1. Coach Laurent Blanc stated, “Jérémy met the Parisian leaders, I met him this (Saturday) morning, I have nothing else to say. There will be a sporting sanction. He will not be with us on the trip to Marseille.”
Despite being under contract until June 2014, Ménez might leave during the winter transfer window. Monaco and Juventus Turin have reportedly shown interest, while Liverpool’s interest is also mentioned, with the caveat that Ménez wouldn’t be eligible to play in the Champions League if he moved to the English club.
The situation is ongoing, and updates will follow.
