Yusuf Akhamrich: Morocco-England winger joins Leyton Orient on loan from Tottenham U21
Leyton Orient have signed Morocco-England winger Yusuf Akhamrich on loan from Tottenham Hotspurs U21 side for the 2026-27 season. The 20-year-old left-footed attacker, who was born in London, moves across the capital to the League One club after impressing in youth and senior football over the past two campaigns.
Akhamrich, primarily a right winger, has agreed a deal that keeps him at Brisbane Road until 30 June 2027, when he is due to return to Spurs. The move follows a productive spell in the EFL with Bristol Rovers last season, where he adapted quickly to senior football. Leyton Orient will be his second loan club away from Tottenhams academy structure.
The wide forward has built a strong record at age-group level, featuring regularly in the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2, and was part of the Tottenham Hotspur U21 side that won the U21 Premier League title in 2023-24. Across those youth competitions he has combined goals and assists while gaining more than 4,700 minutes of competitive experience.
Akhamrichs first taste of the EFL came in League Two, where he scored six goals and provided two assists in 19 appearances, as well as adding goal contributions in the EFL Trophy. Standing at 1.83m and operating mainly from the right flank, he offers Orient a direct attacking option with experience of English league conditions despite his age.
The winger, whose current market value is listed at 200,000, joins Leyton Orient on a season-long loan from Tottenham U21, with his contract at the League One club running until the end of June 2027.
