Steve Delacour: France-Cameroon midfielder returns to US Alencon on free transfer from AS Furiani
France-Cameroon attacking midfielder Steve Delacour has rejoined US Alencon from AS Furiani on a free transfer. The 24-year-old, born in Douala, returns to the club where he has already enjoyed two previous spells and where he is listed with the senior side as US Alencon 61.
Delacour moves back to Alencon after spending the 2024-25 campaign at AS Furiani, having left the Normandy side for the Corsican club, also on a free transfer, in July 2024. His latest switch, completed on 11 July 2026, again comes without a fee as he signs on a permanent deal.
An attacking midfielder standing 1.74m tall, Delacour has built up significant experience in Frances lower national tiers. Across National 2, National 1 and National 3, as well as the Coupe de France, he has made more than 70 senior appearances, contributing goals and assists while operating primarily in a central advanced role.
His most consistent run of games came in National 2 Group F, where he amassed 41 appearances, scoring four goals and adding one assist. He has also featured in National 1 Groups B and C and has four outings in the Coupe de France, underlining his familiarity with the demands of national competition.
Delacours career pathway has been closely tied to Alencon since leaving the Le Mans FC U19 set-up in 2020, with moves between US Alencon and FC Mulhouse preceding his stint at AS Furiani. His latest free transfer confirms a third return to US Alencon as he resumes his career with the club.
