Mohamed Zaalouk: Egyptian forward joins CR Temouchent on free transfer
Egyptian centre-forward Mohamed Zaalouk has joined Algerian side CR Temouchent on a free transfer from Al Ahly U21. The 21-year-old moves across North Africa to continue his senior career in Ligue 1, having completed the switch on 11 July 2026.
Zaalouk, born in Alexandria and standing at 1.82m, operates through the middle of the attack and prefers his right foot. He arrives at CR Temouchent after progressing through the youth ranks at Al Ahly, stepping up from the clubs U19 side to the U21s during the 2024-25 season.
The forward has already sampled top-flight football and continental competition, with appearances across the Egyptian Premier League, League Cup and CAF Confederation Cup. He has featured in the league, domestic cup and African competition, accumulating over 200 minutes of senior action despite his age.
Zaalouks route to this move began with a transfer from Wadi Deglas U21s to Al Ahlys U19s in 2022. He later gained further experience with a loan spell at Modern Future during the 2023-24 campaign before returning to Al Ahlys youth set-up and ultimately stepping up to U21 level.
By securing Zaalouk on a free transfer, CR Temouchent add a young, internationally experienced Egyptian centre-forward to their attacking options ahead of the new Ligue 1 campaign.
