Ikenna Ude-Chukwu: Nigerian defender joins FC Midtjylland U19 from FC Ebedei

Nigerian centre-back Ikenna Ude-Chukwu has joined FC Midtjylland U19 from FC Ebedei, completing a move that takes the 18-year-old into the Danish clubs youth set-up.

The defender, who plays primarily at centre-back, links up with Midtjyllands under-19 side ahead of the new campaign in the U19 Boys League. The transfer was completed on 10 July 2026, with the player officially recorded as part of the Midtjylland U19 squad from the following day.

Ude-Chukwu arrives from FC Ebedei, a Nigerian club with established ties to Midtjylland, having acted as a pathway for several players to move from Nigeria to Denmark over the years. His move continues that pipeline, placing him in a structured European academy environment at a relatively early stage of his career.

Born in 2008, Ude-Chukwu now steps into a competitive youth league designed to bridge the gap between academy football and senior professional level. His inclusion strengthens the defensive options available to Midtjylland at under-19 level as they shape their squad for the season.

The Nigerian youth defender is registered as a central defender by trade and will be eligible to feature for Midtjylland U19 following his switch from Ebedei.
