Pemi Aderoju: Crawley Town sign Anglo-Nigerian striker on loan from Peterborough

Crawley Town have signed England-Nigeria centre-forward Pemi Aderoju on a season-long loan from League One side Peterborough United. The 22-year-old, who stands at 1.85m and prefers to play through the middle, joins the League Two club for the 2026-27 campaign.

Aderoju, who is eligible for both England and Nigeria, moves to Broadfield Stadium after stepping up into Peterboroughs first team last season. He is under contract with the Posh until at least the end of the upcoming campaign and will spend the year with Crawley before returning to his parent club when the loan expires on 31 May 2027.

The forward has built his reputation across the lower divisions, notably scoring 15 goals in 25 National League South appearances earlier in his career. More recently, he has gained experience higher up the pyramid, featuring in League One and the National League as he adapts to the demands of senior professional football.

Aderojus path to Peterborough ran through a series of loans from their under-21 side, including spells with Farnborough, Boston United and Eastbourne. He made the permanent step from Peterboroughs youth ranks into the first team in January 2026, having previously played non-league football for Kempston Rovers and Biggleswade Town.

Crawley will have Aderoju registered as their number 39 for the season, with his current market valuation listed at around 100,000. His temporary move from Peterborough to the League Two club is confirmed as a loan transfer running to the end of May 2027.
