Reda Rabei: French-Algerian midfielder joins Olympique Marcquois on free transfer

French-Algerian midfielder Reda Rabei has joined Olympique Marcquois on a free transfer from Calais Marais. The 31-year-old central midfielder has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the northern French club.

Rabei, born in Roubaix and standing at 1.79m, moves after a short spell with Calais Marais, whom he also joined as a free agent in January 2026. His arrival gives Olympique Marcquois added experience in the middle of the pitch, with the right-footed player having built a career across several leagues in France and abroad.

The midfielder has previously featured in Ligue 2 and the Coupe de France, as well as in Bulgarias efbet Liga and Russias Premier Liga, amassing more than 60 top-flight appearances in Bulgaria alone. He also played in Denmarks 1st Division and in multiple groups of Frances National 1, National 2 and Ligue 3, where he produced double figures for goals in one National 2 campaign.

Rabeis career has taken in spells with Amiens SC, Botev Plovdiv, Fakel Voronezh and Fremad Amager, often switching clubs on free transfers or loan deals. He left Botev Plovdiv in October 2023 before returning to French football with successive moves through P. Cassel, Wasquehal and Calais Marais.

Now tied to Olympique Marcquois until 2027, Rabei completes his latest move back in the region where his senior career first began.
