Jocelin Behiratche: Ivorian defender joins Slovacko on free transfer from Oleksandriya
Cote d’Ivoire centre-back Jocelin Behiratche has joined Czech side Slovacko on a free transfer from FC Oleksandriya.
The 26-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2029 after leaving the Ukrainian club at the end of his deal. The move keeps Behiratche, who stands at 1.92m and plays primarily as a right-footed central defender, in European football following spells in several leagues across the continent.
Behiratche arrives in the Czech Republic with experience in domestic and European competition, having played in league, cup and qualifying fixtures for clubs in Albania, Moldova and Ukraine. Across those campaigns he has amassed more than 150 senior appearances, including minutes in Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
Before his switch to Oleksandriya in 2025, the defender spent a season with Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol after joining them on a free transfer from Albanian club Dinamo City in 2024. His most productive spell came in Albanias Kategoria Superiore, where he made over 100 league appearances and scored three goals.
During his time in the Balkans, Behiratche won the Albanian championship in 2021-22 and lifted the Albanian Super Cup the following season with KF Tirana. He then added the Moldovan Cup to his honours list with Sheriff in the 2024-25 campaign.
Born in Koumassi in May 2000, Behiratche began his senior career in Italy with Giorgione before moving to Tirana in 2021. His latest move sees him commit the prime years of his career to Slovacko on a long-term deal.
