Enock Barwuah: Italian-Ghanaian striker joins Al-Ittifaq from Desenzano
Italian-Ghanaian forward Enock Barwuah has joined Al-Ittifaq from Italian side Desenzano, completing a move that takes the 33-year-old centre-forward to the United Arab Emirates. The experienced attacker leaves the Serie C outfit with an estimated market value of 50,000.
Barwuah, a 1.90m right-footed striker born in Brescia, only arrived at Desenzano in January 2026, signing on a free transfer from Vado. His switch to Al-Ittifaq comes after a season in which he again underlined his durability in the Italian lower leagues, adding to a lengthy career largely built in Serie D.
Across various groups of Serie D, Barwuah has amassed more than 140 appearances, scoring 18 league goals and proving particularly effective in the Coppa Italia Serie D with four goals and three assists in nine games. His record highlights a player used to the physical demands of regular competition and capable of contributing in knockout fixtures as well as the league.
Before his spell at Desenzano, Barwuahs recent career included stints with Vado, Ospitaletto, Pro Palazzolo, Ciliverghe and Rovato, after returning to Italy from a period in Turkey with Menemenspor and Adana Demirspor. Earlier in his journey he also featured for Pavia and Castiglione and had a spell in English football with Salford after leaving Manchester Citys youth ranks.
Now moving outside Europe again, Barwuah links up with Al-Ittifaq as an established centre-forward with extensive experience across several clubs and competitions, formalising his transfer from Desenzano on 10 July 2026.
