Parfait Bizoza: Burundi-Norway midfielder joins Panevezys on free transfer from Haugesund
Panevezys have signed Burundi-Norway defensive midfielder Parfait Bizoza on a free transfer from Norwegian side Haugesund. The 27-year-old moves to the Lithuanian Toplyga club after his contract in Norway came to an end, completing the switch on 10 July 2026.
Bizoza, who stands at 1.87m and is predominantly right-footed, arrives to strengthen the spine of Panevezys midfield. He leaves Haugesund after making appearances across league and cup competitions in Norway, including action in the OBOS-ligaen and the Norwegian Cup during the 2025-26 campaign.
The move to Panevezys continues a career that has taken Bizoza through several European leagues. Before joining Haugesund in 2024 for a fee of 45,000, he played in Denmark for Lyngby BK and Vendsyssel FF, and earlier had a spell in Russia with Ufa following his time at Aalesunds FK and Raufoss in Norway.
Most recently, Bizoza featured regularly for Haugesund in the OBOS-ligaen, contributing a goal and adding physical presence in the middle of the pitch. His current market value stands at around 275,000, underlining Panevezys decision to move for him without a transfer fee.
Bizoza now begins a new chapter in Lithuania with Panevezys after completing his free transfer from Haugesund.
