Ali Sulieman: Eritrean forward at Kahraba linked with move to El Masry in Egyptian Premier League switch

Eritrean centre-forward Ali Sulieman of Kahraba Ismailia is being linked with a move to Egyptian Premier League rivals El Masry as clubs across the division assess attacking options for the new season.

Sulieman, 26, has a market valuation of around 800,000 and has emerged as one of the most productive forwards in the region over the past two campaigns. The left-footed striker has been a regular source of goals in top-flight action, registering 18 goals and one assist in 27 Premier League appearances in one recent season, underlining the level of end product that has attracted interest from within Egypt.

El Masrys interest comes after Suliemans rapid rise since moving to Kahraba from Ethiopian side Hawasa Ketema in August 2025. That switch was completed on a free transfer and gave the forward his first opportunity in Egyptian football following prolific spells in the Ethiopian Premier League.

Before his move to Egypt, Sulieman finished as top goalscorer in the Ethiopian Premier League in back-to-back seasons, scoring 20 goals in 2023-24 and 18 in 2024-25. That record has strengthened the perception that he can sustain high numbers across different competitions and environments.

Born in Senafe and standing at 1.68m, Sulieman has built a reputation as a central attacker who operates through the middle rather than from wide areas, a profile that would suit El Masrys search for a focal point in attack. For now, he remains under contract at Kahraba, with the Egyptian club in a strong position as they weigh up their options amid mounting interest in their number 13.
