Mohamed El Amine Yacoubi: Algerian goalkeeper joins US Chaouia on free transfer from NA Hussein Dey
Algerian goalkeeper Mohamed El Amine Yacoubi has joined US Chaouia on a free transfer from NA Hussein Dey. The 23-year-old moves within Algerian football after leaving Hussein Dey at the end of last season.
Yacoubi, born on 2 November 2002, arrives at US Chaouia as a specialist goalkeeper and becomes one of the clubs latest additions ahead of the new campaign. The deal, finalised on 10 July 2026, sees him switch clubs for the third time in three seasons.
The move to US Chaouia follows an 18-month spell with NA Hussein Dey, which he joined in January 2025, also as a free transfer. Before that, he had a short stint at Olympique Akbou, having stepped up from the youth ranks at MC Alger U21 in July 2024.
Yacoubis rapid sequence of moves reflects a career that has progressed steadily through domestic clubs, from a major youth set-up at MC Alger U21 to senior football opportunities elsewhere. His experience across different Algerian sides offers US Chaouia additional depth in goal as they shape their squad.
The contract length at US Chaouia has not been disclosed, but Yacoubis registration with the club is complete following his free transfer from NA Hussein Dey on 10 July 2026.
