Moussa Samake: Mali striker joins ASA Tg. Mures on loan from CFR Cluj
Mali centre-forward Moussa Samake has joined ASA Tg. Mures on loan from CFR Cluj as the Liga 2 side look to strengthen their attack for the new campaign. The 21-year-old moves down a division in Romania in a temporary deal confirmed on 10 July 2026.
Samake arrives in Targu Mures after a series of loan spells that have given him regular minutes in Romanian football. Standing at 1.85m and operating through the middle, the right-footed striker will be expected to add a physical presence and depth to ASAs forward line.
Last season Samake was on loan at Concordia, having previously spent time with ACSM Resita, also on a temporary deal from CFR Cluj. His performances across the second tier and domestic cup competitions have given him a solid platform in Romanian football, with his current market value listed at 175,000.
The Bamako-born forward has built up meaningful experience in Liga 2, including play-off and play-out fixtures, as well as appearances in the Romanian Cup. He has also had brief exposure to the top flight and European competition with CFR Cluj, featuring in the SuperLiga and Europa League qualifying rounds.
Samake originally progressed through CFR Clujs youth set-up, stepping up from the clubs U19 side before being sent out on a succession of loans to gain senior experience. His latest move includes a scheduled return to Cluj in June 2027 at the end of the loan agreement.
The deal sees ASA Tg. Mures secure the services of the Mali striker on a season-long loan from CFR Cluj.
