Younes Houat: French-Algerian Jonava Winger Linked with Move to Moldovas Milsami
French-Algerian winger Younes Houat of FK Jonava is being linked with a summer move to Moldovan Super Liga side Milsami, with the 25-year-olds form in Lithuania attracting attention ahead of the next transfer window.
Houat, primarily a left-sided attacker who prefers his right foot, has been one of Jonavas key attacking outlets this season in the I Lyga. He has made 14 league appearances, scoring six goals and providing one assist, featuring in the starting XI in the vast majority of matches and contributing directly to a significant share of the teams goals. His impact has been even more pronounced in the Lithuanian Cup, where he has scored seven goals in just two appearances.
Born in Bourg-la-Reine and holding both French and Algerian nationality, Houat joined Jonava in March 2026 on a free transfer from Melun FC and has quickly established himself as a regular starter. His performances in Lithuanias second tier and domestic cup competition appear to have raised his profile beyond the country, with Milsami now exploring the possibility of bringing him to Moldova.
Houats contract with Jonava runs until 8 November 2026, meaning any move in the short term would require agreement between the clubs rather than a free transfer at the end of the season.
