Jacques Tendeng: Senegal midfielder joins ES Pointe Hague on free transfer
Senegal midfielder Jacques Tendeng has joined ES Pointe Hague on a free transfer from AS Cherbourg. The 30-year-old defensive midfielder moves across Normandy after five years in Cherbourg colours, strengthening Pointe Hagues options in the centre of the pitch.
Tendeng, born in Bignona on 21 December 1995, signs for ES Pointe Hague after his contract with Cherbourg came to an end. The move keeps him in the French pyramid, where he has built up extensive experience across the National divisions and the Coupe de France.
A specialist in the holding role, Tendeng made his name in National 2 Group F, where he accumulated 77 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing two assists. He has also featured in National 1, adding further games and a goal at a higher level, as well as outings in the national cup.
The midfielder first arrived at AS Cherbourg in 2018 from Douvres and later rejoined the club in 2021 following a spell at Saint-Pryve. His career in France began with AS Yzeure after leaving Sacre Cur in 2014, giving him a long-standing familiarity with the countrys semi-professional scene.
Tendeng now links up with ES Pointe Hague ahead of the new campaign, completing a free transfer that continues his career in French football.
