Casertana have signed Ivory Coast centre-forward Junior Ajayi from Hellas Verona on a loan deal running until the end of the 2026-27 season. The 21-year-old has joined the Serie C side with his contract at the Campania club set to run until 30 June 2027.

Ajayi arrives from Verona, who he joined in July 2024 after a move from Sassuolos youth set-up. The forward, who stands at 1.85m and is right-footed, links up with Casertana as they prepare for the new campaign in Serie C Girone C.

The Ivorian has already had a taste of senior football in Italy, making appearances in Serie A and the Coppa Italia for Verona. Most of his game time, however, has come at youth level, where he featured regularly in the Primavera 1 championship and the Viareggio Cup.

During his time in the youth leagues, Ajayi built up more than 40 appearances in Primavera 1, contributing goals and assists across two clubs. His performances there helped earn him a move from Sassuolos academy to Verona and now his first sustained opportunity at senior level with Casertana.

Ajayi initially moved to Italy in 2023 when he left LFA to join Sassuolos Under-20 side, before a loan spell with Veronas Under-19s preceded a permanent transfer. He now makes the temporary switch from Verona to Casertana, with the loan scheduled to end in June 2027.
