Italy-Morocco midfielder Mohamed Karma has joined German club SV Helpenstein on a free transfer from Kosova Dusseldorf.

The 21-year-old left-sided midfielder has agreed a deal running until 30 June 2027 after switching between several clubs in the Lower Rhine regional set-up in recent seasons. He makes the move ahead of the new campaign as Helpenstein look to strengthen their midfield options.

Karma arrives from Kosova Dusseldorf, where he had re-signed in January 2026 following a spell with FC Buderich. All of his recent moves have been free transfers, reflecting a career spent building experience across the regional leagues rather than tied to long-term contracts.

Comfortable in central midfield and operating primarily on his left foot, Karma has already featured in the Landesliga Niederrhein, making 14 appearances and contributing three goals and four assists, as well as appearing in the Niederrhein Cup. Those contributions underline his ability to influence play in the final third as well as contribute in general midfield play.

Before his most recent stint at Kosova Dusseldorf and Buderich, Karma had played for Germania Hilfarth after stepping up from the youth system at Wegberg-Beeck, moving from their Under-17s to Under-19s before entering senior football. His pathway has kept him within the same regional football environment, giving him familiarity with the level and opposition he is likely to face with Helpenstein.

Karmas contract with SV Helpenstein runs to the end of June 2027 following his free-transfer move from Kosova Dusseldorf.
