Ismaila Doucoure: Franco-Senegalese goalkeeper joins Lyon La Duchere on free transfer
Franco-Senegalese goalkeeper Ismaila Doucoure has joined Lyon La Duchere on a free transfer from Chavanay, strengthening the Lyon-based clubs options between the posts ahead of the new campaign.
The 29-year-old, born in Yellingara and standing at 1.88m, arrives after a season with Chavanay, who had themselves signed him without a fee in 2025. His latest move, completed on 9 July 2026, continues a journeyman career across the French lower leagues and abroad, with Doucoure now returning to familiar surroundings in the Lyon football scene.
Doucoure, who represents both France and Senegal at nationality level, is a right-footed goalkeeper whose career has taken in spells at Venissieux, Saint-Priests reserve side and Spanish outfit Lorca FC. He previously spent time with Vaulx-en-Velins B team before a short period without a club and subsequent returns to competition with Venissieux and Chassieu FC B.
His path has featured several free transfers and periods out of contract, but he has repeatedly re-established himself with new sides, particularly around the Lyon area. That familiarity with regional football structures is likely to ease his integration at Lyon La Duchere.
Having now completed his switch from Chavanay, Doucoure is officially registered as a Lyon La Duchere player following this free transfer.
