Boumediene Friefer: Algerian midfielder returns to CR Temouchent on free transfer
Algerian attacking midfielder Boumediene Friefer has rejoined CR Temouchent from ASM Oran on a free transfer. The 27-year-old, born in Oran, moves back to the Ligue 1 side after a season with ASM Oran, where he had also arrived as a free agent.
Friefer, who operates primarily as an attacking midfielder and prefers his right foot, has built up significant experience in the Algerian top flight. Across his time in Ligue 1, he has made more than 70 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists, underlining his ability to contribute in the final third. Standing at 1.75m, he adds mobility and creativity to the middle of the pitch.
This latest move marks Friefers third spell with CR Temouchent, having first joined the club in 2022 after a stint with Tunisian side AS Soliman and then returning again in 2023 before moving on to GC Mascara and later ASM Oran. His career path has kept him largely within North African football, with regular moves between Algerian clubs and a period in Tunisia.
Friefers journey began at MC Oran, where he progressed from the U21s to the senior side before a series of free transfers took him to RC Arbaa, AS Soliman, CR Temouchent, GC Mascara and ASM Oran. Now 27 and with several seasons of top-flight action behind him, he heads back to CR Temouchent as an experienced Ligue 1 campaigner.
The deal sees Boumediene Friefer complete a permanent free transfer to CR Temouchent ahead of the 202627 season.
