Chafai Guergour: Algerian striker joins CR Temouchent on free transfer from CR Belouizdad

Algerian centre-forward Chafai Guergour has joined CR Temouchent on a free transfer from CR Belouizdad. The 20-year-old, born in Tindouf, moves within Ligue 1 to continue his senior career as an attacking option through the middle.

Guergour, who stands at 1.83m and plays predominantly as a central striker, arrives at Temouchent after a year in the Belouizdad first-team set-up. He steps into a squad competing in the same division, offering a different profile in attack with his right-footed game and physical presence.

The forward progressed from Belouizdads youth ranks, having been promoted from the clubs U21 side to the senior team in 2025. His switch to Temouchent marks the second move of his professional career and his first departure from the club where he came through the system.

Guergours move was completed on 9 July 2026, with the Algerian youth product now officially registered as a CR Temouchent player following the expiry of his deal at CR Belouizdad.
