Ryan Fosso: Rangers linked with move for Sturm Graz midfielder
Ryan Fosso, the Cameroon-Switzerland midfielder currently at Sturm Graz, has been linked with a move to Scottish Premiership side Rangers. The 24-year-old defensive midfielder is understood to be on the Glasgow clubs radar as they assess options to strengthen the centre of their midfield this summer.
Fosso only joined Sturm Graz in January 2026 from Dutch side Fortuna Sittard for a reported 900,000 fee and is currently valued at around 2m. He has already featured in the Austrian Bundesliga, making 14 league appearances and contributing one goal and one assist, as well as gaining experience in European competition through Conference League and qualifying matches.
Born in Lugano and eligible for both Cameroon and Switzerland, Fosso has developed through a variety of European environments, including youth football with BSC Young Boys and senior spells in the Swiss and Dutch systems. His most substantial playing time before moving to Austria came in the Eredivisie, where he accumulated 47 appearances for Fortuna Sittard, alongside earlier minutes in the Swiss Challenge League and Promotion League.
Fossos time at FC Vaduz brought tangible success, with back-to-back Liechtenstein Cup wins in 202223 and 202324, adding silverware to a CV that also includes a Swiss U18 title with Young Boys youth side. That combination of domestic league exposure and cup pedigree is thought to be part of his appeal as Rangers look at options in multiple competitions.
With Fosso having only recently arrived in Graz and no fixed contract expiry publicly known, Sturms stance on any potential offer is not yet clear, but Rangers interest adds an intriguing subplot to the midfielders first year in Austrian football.
