El Dakhlia have signed Egyptian centre-back Mohamed Mazzika on a free transfer from Abo Qir, with the 29-year-old agreeing a contract until 30 June 2028.

The right-footed defender, who primarily operates at centre-back, makes the move after a spell with Abo Qir in Egyptian football, sealing a long-term deal that ties him to El Dakhlia for the next two seasons. The transfer was completed on 9 July 2026.

Mazzika, born on 14 July 1996, adds experience and continuity at domestic level, having worked his way up through the Egyptian game. Before joining Abo Qir in February 2025, he played for La Viena FC, who had brought him in from El Ghaba in July 2021.

Across his career, Mazzika has featured in the Egypt Cup, where he has made three appearances and accumulated 225 minutes of playing time, underlining his familiarity with national cup competition. His profile as a specialist central defender offers El Dakhlia an additional option in the heart of their back line.

The move marks Mazzikas latest step within Egyptian football, with his free transfer signalling a straightforward switch between Abo Qir and El Dakhlia.
