Hamada El Shafei: Egypt midfielder joins Masr Lel Taamen on free transfer from O. Alexandria

Egyptian midfielder Hamada El Shafei has joined Masr Lel Taamen on a free transfer from O. Alexandria, signing a deal that runs until 30 June 2028.

The 28-year-old central midfielder makes the move ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, becoming one of Masr Lel Taamens first confirmed additions for the new season. His arrival is a permanent switch after his contract with O. Alexandria came to an end.

El Shafei, who operates primarily in central midfield, spent the last two seasons with O. Alexandria following a free transfer from El Minya in August 2024. He had previously joined El Minya from Port Fouad SC, again as a free agent, in October 2022.

The move continues a steady rise through the Egyptian club game for El Shafei, who now commits the next two years of his career to Masr Lel Taamen. His experience across several sides in the domestic structure is expected to bolster options in the middle of the pitch.

El Shafeis contract with Masr Lel Taamen runs through to the summer of 2028, confirming a long-term agreement between player and club.
