Antonio Nusa: Atletico Madrid eye move for Norway winger from RB Leipzig

Norway winger Antonio Nusa, currently at RB Leipzig, is being linked with a move to Atletico Madrid as the La Liga club explore attacking reinforcements this summer.

The 21-year-old left winger, who was born in Langhus and is eligible for both Norway and Nigeria, has seen his reputation grow steadily in the Bundesliga following his move to Leipzig from Club Brugge. His market value has risen to around 32m after a series of upward revisions over the past two seasons, underlining the level of investment that would likely be required to prise him away from Germany.

Nusa, who prefers to operate from the left but is right-footed, joined Leipzig in August 2024 after three years in Belgium with Club Brugge, where he made the step up from Norwegian football. He had moved to Brugge from Stabk as a teenager and quickly attracted interest from larger European leagues as his value increased from 400,000 at 16 to 20m by late 2023.

Since arriving in Leipzig, Nusas market valuation has continued to climb, with notable increases recorded in October and December 2024 and again in December 2025. He now wears the number 7 shirt and has become part of a Leipzig side that regularly competes at the top end of the Bundesliga and in European competition.

Atleticos interest comes at a time when Nusas medium-term future in Leipzig remains open, with no public indication of a long-term contract end date, leaving the German club in a strong negotiating position should formal talks begin.
