Antonio Nusa: Aston Villa eye move for Norway winger from RB Leipzig
Aston Villa are exploring a move for Norway winger Antonio Nusa from RB Leipzig as Unai Emery targets further attacking depth ahead of the new Premier League campaign. The 21-year-old, who also holds Nigerian nationality and operates primarily as a left winger, has emerged as a live option for Villa as they look to add pace and creativity in wide areas.
Nusa is currently valued at around 32 million and remains under contract at Leipzig, where he wears the number 7 shirt. Any deal would therefore require a significant outlay from Villa, who have been active in reshaping their squad for domestic and European commitments.
Leipzig signed Nusa from Club Brugge in August 2024 after his rapid rise in Belgium, where his market value climbed from 400,000 as a 16-year-old at Stabk to 20 million by late 2023. Since moving to the Bundesliga, his valuation has continued to increase, passing the 30 million mark during the 202526 season.
Born in Langhus in April 2005 and standing at 1.83m, Nusa is a right-footed wide attacker who has been used predominantly on the left for Leipzig. His development in Germany over the last two seasons has attracted interest from several top leagues, with the Premier League now a realistic next step.
Villa are yet to reach an agreement with Leipzig and the talks remain at an exploratory stage, with the Bundesliga club in a strong negotiating position given Nusas age and steadily rising value.
