Ken Izekor: Germany-Nigeria forward joins Alemannia Aachen from Leverkusen U19

Germany-Nigeria centre-forward Ken Izekor has joined Alemannia Aachen from Bayer Leverkusens U19 side, sealing a move into the 3. Liga for the 19-year-old attacker.

The left-footed striker, who was born in Aachen and stands at 1.77m, returns to his home city after progressing through Leverkusens youth system. The move sees him step into senior football on the back of regular game time at youth and reserve level, including experience in both the 2. Bundesliga and Europa League.

Izekor spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Eintracht Braunschweig, where he made his debut in Germanys second tier. He previously featured extensively in the U19-Bundesliga West and the U19 Nachwuchsliga, as well as making 10 appearances in the UEFA Youth League with Leverkusens youth team.

A prolific scorer at U17 level, Izekor hit 19 goals in 29 matches in the U17-Bundesliga West, adding further strikes in national youth cup and special round competitions as he moved up the age groups. He also netted twice in seven outings in the Oberliga Niedersachsen, gaining early experience of senior regional football.

On the international stage, Izekor has already picked up silverware, winning the Torneio Internacional Algarve U17 with Germany U17 in 2024. At club level, he was part of the Bayer Leverkusen squad that finished Europa League runners-up in the 2023-24 campaign.

Izekors move, completed on 9 July 2026, takes him from Leverkusens U19 setup to Alemannia Aachen as he joins the 3. Liga club ahead of the new season.
