GHANA: THE CHAMPIONSHIP RESUMES ON OCTOBER 7

Kumasi Asante Kotoko

The Glo Premier League in Ghana is set to resume on October 7, with reigning champion Asante Kotoko aiming to defend its title against strong competition. Other contenders include Hearts of Oak, eager to break a four-year trophy drought, and Berekum Chelsea, determined to regain the title they lost to Asante Kotoko.

On the first day of the league, Asante Kotoko will face newly promoted Amidaus Professionals at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. Hearts of Oak will begin their campaign against Tema Youth in Tema, while New Edubiase takes on Medeama in Bekwai.

Real Tamale United makes a return to the Premier League and will host Ashanti Gold at their facilities, while King Faisal travels to the Carl Reindorf Park to face Liberty Professionals Academicians.

A highly anticipated fixture is the clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, scheduled for the 7th day on November 18. The first encounter will take place in Kumasi, where Hearts of Oak will challenge the Porcupine Warriors. The Ghanaian championship will observe the mid-season break on January 13, 2023.
