Arthur Atta: AC Milan eye move for Udinese and France-Benin midfielder

Arthur Atta, the France-Benin central midfielder currently at Udinese, is being linked with a move to Serie A rivals AC Milan as the Rossoneri assess options to reshape their midfield this summer. The 23-year-old, who wears No 14 for the Friulani, is under contract at Udinese until 30 June 2029, meaning any deal is likely to require a significant fee, with his current market valuation standing at 25 million.

Milans interest comes after Atta established himself as a regular in Italys top flight, making 59 Serie A appearances and contributing five goals and four assists. Standing at 1.89m and predominantly right-footed, he has become a mainstay in Udineses central midfield since arriving from Metz.

Udinese signed Atta from the French club in July 2025 for 8 million, having initially taken him on loan the previous season. His rapid rise in value since that permanent move underlines why Udinese are in a strong negotiating position should Milan advance their interest.

Born in Rennes on 14 January 2003, Atta came through the youth ranks at Rennes before moving to Metz as a teenager, working his way from the U17s to the first team and then securing his move to Serie A. His blend of French and Beninese nationality also makes him eligible at international level for both countries.

With three years still remaining on his Udinese deal, there is no release pressure on the Italian club, and Milan would need to decide whether to match Udineses valuation if they choose to formalise their interest in the midfielder.
