Botswana midfielder Gape Edwin Mohutsiwa has completed a move to Moroccan club Ittihad Tanger, signing a two-year contract after ending his spell with Algerian side MC Oran.

The 29-year-old continues his North African adventure with a switch to Morocco, having previously gained experience in Algeria’s top flight.

Mohutsiwa joined MC Oran after leaving ASO Chlef and featured as part of the club’s midfield options during his time in Algeria.

His arrival at Ittihad Tanger adds further strength to the club’s midfield department, with the Botswana international expected to bring defensive discipline, energy and experience to the squad.

Mohutsiwa has been a regular figure in the Botswana national team setup and has built a reputation as a hardworking midfielder capable of operating in both defensive and central midfield roles.

The move represents another important chapter in his career as he remains in the Maghreb region, where he has established himself after previous spells with clubs in Botswana and Algeria.

Ittihad Tanger will be hoping the experienced midfielder can make an immediate impact as they continue their preparations for the upcoming campaign in Moroccan football.
