Adriel Ba Loua: Ivorian winger joins Gwangju FC on free transfer

Gwangju FC have signed Ivory Coast winger Adriel Ba Loua on a free transfer from FK Gabala. The 29-year-old right-sided attacker joins the K League 1 club after leaving the Azerbaijani side at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

Ba Loua, a left-footed right winger, arrives in South Korea with experience across several European leagues and a current market value of around 800,000. He moves after a season in which he contributed three assists in four appearances in the Azerbaijan Cup for Gabala.

The Yopougon-born wide player joined Gabala from French club SM Caen in 2025, also on a free transfer, and previously spent three-and-a-half years in Poland and the Czech Republic. During that period he collected major honours, winning the Polish league title twice with Lech Poznan and the Czech championship with Viktoria Plzen.

Ba Loua first came to prominence with Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas, where he was named the clubs best young player in 2015. A loan spell at Danish side Vejle Boldklub followed, culminating in a Danish second-tier title in 2018 before he returned to ASEC and then moved on to Europe on a permanent basis.

Standing at 1.70m and capable of operating across the attacking line, Ba Loua will now begin a new chapter in Asia after completing his permanent switch to Gwangju FC.
