Michy Batshuayi: Eintracht Frankfurt striker linked with surprise move to Amed SK
Belgium and DR Congo forward Michy Batshuayi, currently at Eintracht Frankfurt, has been linked with a surprise switch to Turkish Super Lig side Amed SK. The 32-year-old centre-forward is under contract in Germany until 30 June 2027 but is attracting interest from the newly ambitious Turkish club as they look to add proven top-flight experience to their attack.
Batshuayi joined Frankfurt from Galatasaray on 3 February 2025 for a fee of 3m and is currently valued at around 2m. Any deal for the former Chelsea striker would therefore likely involve a modest transfer fee rather than a free move, with Frankfurt in a strong position to negotiate given the length of his existing contract.
Amed SKs interest is rooted in Batshuayis extensive scoring record in Turkey, where he has amassed 43 goals in 97 Super Lig appearances, plus 11 goals in 12 Turkiye Kupasi outings. His time in the country has also brought silverware, most recently the 202425 Turkish league title with Galatasaray, underlining his impact in that environment.
The Brussels-born forward has built a career across Europes major leagues, including the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and LaLiga, but his most prolific spells have often come in Turkish competitions. That history, combined with his current market valuation and contractual status in Frankfurt, has made him a realistic and potentially attainable target for Amed SK as they weigh up options in the transfer market.
