Afimico Pululu: DR Congo-French forward linked with Bursaspor move

Afimico Pululu, the DR Congo and French centre-forward currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Turkish 1.Lig side Bursaspor as the second-tier outfit look to reinforce their attack ahead of the new campaign.

Pululu, 27, became a free agent on 1 July after leaving Polish champions Jagiellonia Bialystok, and his status on the market has alerted Bursaspor, who are exploring a deal that would not require a transfer fee despite his current valuation of around 4m. Talks are understood to be at an exploratory stage, with Bursaspor weighing up whether to formalise their interest.

The left-footed striker enjoyed a prolific spell in Poland, scoring 37 goals in 95 Ekstraklasa appearances for Jagiellonia and helping them win the league title in 2023-24. He also made a significant impact in European competition, finishing as top scorer in the UEFA Conference League in 2024-25 with eight goals, further raising his profile outside Poland.

Pululus performances in Bialystok followed earlier stints in Germany and Switzerland, where he featured in the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and Swiss Super League after progressing through the FC Basel youth system and winning the Swiss Cup in 2018-19.

Bursaspors interest comes as they attempt to add proven end product to their forward line, with Pululus recent record in Poland and Europe marking him out as one of the more accomplished free agents available in his age bracket. For now, the forward remains unattached and free to negotiate with clubs as he considers his next move.
