Benjamin Keita: FC Wil 1900 sign Servette U21 forward on free transfer until 2029
FC Wil 1900 have signed centre-forward Benjamin Keita from Servette U21 on a free transfer, with the 21-year-old agreeing a contract with the Challenge League club until 30 June 2029.
Keita moves to Wil after a prolific spell in Swiss lower-league football, where he established himself as one of the most effective scorers at his level. Comfortable leading the line through the middle and favouring his right foot, the 1.80m striker will join a side competing in Switzerlands second tier as they look to add cutting edge in attack.
Born in Geneva and eligible to represent both Switzerland and Senegal, Keita has already produced an impressive scoring record in the 1. Liga group 1, registering 35 goals and one assist in 48 appearances. He averaged a goal every 77 minutes in that competition, underlining the penalty-box presence Wil will hope to translate to the higher division.
He was also the top goal scorer in the 2025-26 season in the 1. Liga Classic group 1, hitting 21 goals to claim the award. That form followed earlier spells with Meyrin FC and Stade Nyonnais, including a loan stint at Stade Nyonnais from Servette U21 during the 2024-25 campaign, before returning to Servettes youth set-up.
Keita already has a small taste of the Challenge League, having made five appearances at that level, and now takes the step up on a permanent basis as he commits his long-term future to FC Wil 1900.
