Mohamed Fakhri: Ittihad Alexandria sign Egyptian midfielder from Pharco FC on long-term deal
Ittihad Alexandria have signed Egyptian central midfielder Mohamed Fakhri from league rivals Pharco FC, with the 27-year-old joining the Premier League club on a long-term contract running until June 2030.
Fakhri, a right-footed central midfielder, moves to Ittihad after three seasons with Pharco, whom he joined from Al Ahly in September 2023. His arrival adds further experience to Ittihads options in the middle of the pitch as they prepare for the coming campaigns.
The 1.85m midfielder has built a solid body of work in Egyptian domestic football, making 90 league appearances and contributing four goals and five assists. Across all competitions, he has featured regularly in high-pressure fixtures, including relegation play-offs, domestic cups and championship play-off matches, underlining his exposure to different competitive scenarios.
Fakhri first emerged at El Mahalla before moving to Al Ahlys youth set-up in 2018. He later progressed into Al Ahlys senior ranks after a loan spell with Bank El Ahly, gaining further top-flight experience before his permanent switch to Pharco.
By securing Fakhri on a contract through 2030, Ittihad have committed to the midfielder as a key part of their squad for the medium term, finalising one of the notable internal moves within the Egyptian Premier League this summer.
