Rony Mimb Baheng: Pau FC sign Marseille B centre-back on long-term deal
Pau FC have signed centre-back Rony Mimb Baheng from Marseille B. The 21-year-old defender joins the Ligue 2 side on a permanent deal and has agreed a contract running until 30 June 2029.
The move gives Pau a tall, left-footed option at the heart of their defence, with the Cameroonian standing at 1.92m and comfortable operating as a central defender. Born in Douala in April 2005, Mimb Baheng becomes one of the younger members of the Pau squad but arrives with experience in senior French footballs lower tiers.
Mimb Baheng spent last season with Marseilles reserve side after progressing through the clubs youth structure. He initially joined Marseilles U19s in September 2023 from Kadji SA in Cameroon before stepping up to the B team the following summer.
Across his time in France, he has accumulated game time in Ligue 3 and the National 3, making more than 35 league appearances at those levels, and has also featured in the Coupe de France. Earlier in his Marseille spell he played in the National U19 competition, scoring twice, and took part in the end-of-season play-off phase.
Mimb Baheng was briefly loaned to Aubagne Air Bel in August 2025, returning to Marseille B at the end of that campaign before completing his switch to Pau. His transfer is completed with an indicative market valuation of around 300,000 and ties him to the Ligue 2 club for the next three seasons.
