Guela Doue: Inter Milan linked with move for Strasbourg and Ivory Coast right-back

Guela Doue, the Ivory Coast and France-qualified right-back currently at RC Strasbourg Alsace, is being linked with a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan. The 23-year-old defender, who joined Strasbourg last summer, is under contract with the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2029, meaning any deal would require Inter to pay a significant fee.

Doues importance to Strasbourg has grown since his arrival from Stade Rennais in July 2024 for 6m, with his market value now estimated at 20m. Inter are understood to be monitoring options on the right side of defence, and Doues blend of top-flight and European experience has brought him into their sights.

The Angers-born full-back has accumulated 82 Ligue 1 appearances, contributing three goals and 12 assists, and has also featured in European competition, including eight matches in the UEFA Conference League and outings in both the Europa League and UEFA Youth League earlier in his career.

On the international stage, Doue has appeared at the 2026 World Cup, featuring in all four of Ivory Coasts matches at the tournament. His involvement there, starting in the majority of games and playing most of the available minutes, has further raised his profile.

Strasbourg, backed by a long contract and rising valuation, are in a strong negotiating position and under no pressure to sell. For now, Doue remains a key defensive option for the Alsace club, who secured him on a five-year deal running through to 2029.
