Yaya Dukuly: Adelaide United winger linked with move to NK Celje

Australia-Guinea winger Yaya Dukuly, currently with Adelaide United, has been linked with a move to Slovenian top-flight side NK Celje as the A-League Men club face interest in one of their most in-form attackers.

The 23-year-old right winger, who prefers to operate on the right cutting in from the flank on his left foot, has seen his standing rise sharply over the past 18 months, with his market value climbing to around 600,000. His recent progress has put him on the radar of clubs in Europe, with Celje emerging as a potential destination in the Prva Liga.

Dukuly returned to Adelaide United in February 2024 after a spell in France with Stade Reims B team, rejoining the club he first signed for in 2020 from Melbourne City. Since coming back to South Australia he has re-established himself as a first-team option, helping to rejuvenate his career and attract renewed overseas attention.

The wingers market valuation had dipped during his time in France but has surged since mid-2025, reflecting sustained improvement and increased responsibility at Adelaide. His current status as one of the A-League sides more valuable assets makes any decision over a sale significant for the clubs planning.

For Celje, a deal for Dukuly would represent a move for a relatively young wide player with both Australian and Guinean roots and prior European experience, potentially adding pace and creativity in wide areas as they look to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.

No agreement has been reached between Adelaide United and NK Celje, and the 23-year-old remains an Adelaide player while interest from Slovenia is assessed.
