Suhaib Gannan: Al-Duhail winger makes permanent switch to Al-Ahli SC in Stars League move

Libya and England-qualified winger Suhaib Gannan has completed a permanent transfer from Al-Duhail SC to fellow Qatar Stars League side Al-Ahli SC on 7 July 2026. The 22-year-old left-sided attacker moves for an undisclosed fee, with his current market value listed at around 300,000.

Gannans switch follows a season-long loan spell at Al-Ahli from Al-Duhail in the 2025-26 campaign. He returned briefly to his parent club at the end of June before Al-Ahli moved to secure him on a full-time basis ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Born in Utrecht on 13 November 2003 and standing at 1.75m, Gannan operates primarily as a left winger, favouring his right foot. He has experience across several Qatari top-flight sides, having been loaned out by Al-Duhail to Al-Shamal SC in 2024-25, then to Al-Wakrah SC in early 2025, before his most recent stint with Al-Ahli.

Gannans career trajectory has been matched by a steady rise in his valuation. From a 75,000 market value at Al-Duhail in late 2022, his worth climbed through 100,000 and 150,000 during his early years with the club. Spells at Al-Shamal and Al-Wakrah coincided with a further increase, peaking at 300,000 in May 2025 and reaching 325,000 by the end of that year while at Al-Ahli, before settling again at 300,000 in May 2026.

Having progressed from Al-Duhails Olympic side to the senior team in 2022 and built up experience through successive loans in the Stars League, Gannan now joins Al-Ahli on a permanent basis as a full member of their attacking options.
