Ismael Fadel: UD Ibiza sign Castellon centre-back on season-long loan
UD Ibiza have completed the signing of centre-back Ismael Fadel from CD Castellon on a loan transfer for the 2026-27 season. The 22-year-old defender leaves the LaLiga2 side to join the Primera Federacion Group II club, with the move confirmed on 7 July 2026.
Fadel, who holds both Moroccan and Spanish nationality, arrives at Ibiza after a rapid rise over the past two seasons through the Castellon system. Earlier this summer he was promoted from CD Castellon B to the first team, and he now makes the switch to Ibiza in search of regular first-team football in Spains third tier. His current market value stands at 200,000, reflecting a sharp increase from the 50,000 valuation he carried in mid-2025.
Born in Zaragoza on 10 March 2004, Fadel is a right-footed central defender whose development has taken him across several levels of Spanish football. Before joining Castellons set-up in January 2026, he gained senior experience at Yeclano Deportivo and SD Ejea, as well as at Real Zaragozas reserve and youth teams, including Real Zaragoza U19.
Loan spells at Ejea between 2023 and 2025 provided Fadel with consecutive campaigns of competitive minutes, followed by a move to Yeclano Deportivo for the 2025-26 season, where his performances contributed to his increased valuation. His subsequent step up to Castellon B and then the Castellon first team underlined his progress ahead of this latest move.
The loan to UD Ibiza includes a scheduled return to Castellon on 30 June 2027, at the conclusion of the 2026-27 campaign.
