Arthur Atta: Aston Villa linked with move for Udinese and France-Benin midfielder

Aston Villa have been linked with a move for France-Benin midfielder Arthur Atta, who is currently on the books at Serie A side Udinese.

The 23-year-old central midfielder, who stands at 1.89m and is right-footed, has seen his reputation rise sharply in Italy, with his market value increasing to 25m as of late May 2026. His performances in Udine have drawn attention from the Premier League, with Villa among the clubs monitoring his situation.

Atta joined Udinese from French side Metz, initially on loan in August 2024 before the move was made permanent at the start of the 2025-26 season. During that period his valuation grew rapidly, climbing from 1m in mid-2024 to 15m by the end of that year and then to its current 25m figure.
