Sébastien Haller vows to give his all after completing move to Sanfrecce Hiroshima
Ivory Coast international Sébastien Haller has promised to give his all after securing a move to Japanese side Sanfrecce Hiroshima, on a one-season contract.
The experienced striker is embarking on a fresh chapter in his career, bringing his wealth of European and international experience to the J1 League as he looks to make an immediate impact in Japan.
Following the official announcement of his transfer, Haller expressed strong excitement about the challenge ahead and his desire to contribute to the team’s ambitions both on and off the pitch.
“I am very happy and very proud to have joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima. I am very excited to take on this challenge with you. I can’t wait to meet you all in this wonderful city and at this great club. We will do everything we can to achieve the club’s objectives,” he said.
Haller’s arrival is seen as a major boost for Sanfrecce Hiroshima, with the club banking on his physical presence, finishing ability, and leadership qualities to strengthen their attacking options for the remainder of the season.
The former Borussia Dortmund and West Ham United forward now turns his attention to adapting quickly to Japanese football as he aims to repay the club’s faith and help push them towards their competitive targets.
Haller missed out on the Ivory Coast squad for the 2026 World Cup tournament, where the Elephants bowed out at round 32 following defeat to Norway.
