World Cup 2026: Royal Air Maroc launches special flights for Morocco fans ahead of Canada clash
Royal Air Maroc has announced a special flight programme to transport thousands of Morocco supporters to Houston after the Atlas Lions secured their place in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with victory over the Netherlands.
The Moroccan national airline is expanding its support for the national team by introducing 12 direct flights between Casablanca and Houston, where Morocco will face Canada on Saturday, 4 July.
The initiative follows the airline’s efforts during the group stage and Round of 32, when it helped transport thousands of supporters to cheer on the Atlas Lions throughout the tournament.
Following Morocco’s latest success, Royal Air Maroc says it is increasing its commitment to ensure as many fans as possible can witness another historic moment for the national team.
As the official airline of the Moroccan national football team, the carrier said it remains fully committed to supporting both the Atlas Lions and their supporters as the team continues its World Cup campaign.
Royal Air Maroc also praised Morocco’s victory over the Netherlands, describing it as another significant achievement against one of international football’s most accomplished nations.
The airline said Morocco is continuing to compete with the world’s leading football nations while carrying the hopes of supporters across the country.
To meet the expected demand, Royal Air Maroc is mobilising its technical, logistical and commercial teams to organise the special travel operation within a short period.
The airline will operate 12 non-stop flights between Casablanca and Houston, providing more than 3,000 seats for supporters travelling to attend the knockout-stage encounter.
The flights will also mark a milestone for the airline, as Houston will become a new destination in Royal Air Maroc’s network.
Tickets for the special service will be available at a fixed return fare of US$1,065.80, including taxes, in economy class. The tickets will be non-modifiable and non-refundable.
Sales are scheduled to begin at 10:00 local time on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, through Royal Air Maroc sales offices across Morocco and via the airline’s dedicated booking portal.
With Morocco preparing for another crucial World Cup test, Royal Air Maroc’s latest initiative is intended to give thousands more supporters the opportunity to back the Atlas Lions in Houston as they pursue a place in the quarter-finals.
