Amr El-Hadidy, former star of Al-Ahly, has urged the departure of Portuguese coach Roy Vitoria, the head coach of the national team, following the humiliating exit from the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
In a television statement, Amr El-Hadidy expressed his viewpoint, stating, “In my opinion, the Portuguese Roy Vitoria, the head coach of the national team, is a coach with a weak personality and does not deserve to continue coaching the Pharaohs.”
El-Hadidy continued, “In my opinion, the national coach is more suitable to lead the Pharaohs in the coming period, rather than appointing a foreign head coach again.”
The comments come in the aftermath of Egypt’s disappointing performance in the Africa Cup of Nations, raising questions about the future leadership of the national football team.
