Teddy Okou’s Al Ahly link untrue – Agent
Marius Habiamberi, agent of Al-Riyadh winger Teddy Okou, has firmly downplayed reports linking his client with a move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC, insisting that no negotiations or official contact have taken place.
The 24-year-old, who plays for Al-Riyadh SC, had recently been mentioned in transfer speculation involving Al Ahly SC as the club continues to assess attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season. However, the player’s camp maintains that the situation remains at a very early and informal stage.
According to the clarification, there has been no direct communication between Al Ahly and either the player or his representatives. No structured talks have been opened, and no negotiations are currently underway.
Despite increasing rumours in recent days, the situation has not moved beyond general interest, with no formal steps taken by any of the involved parties. The player’s camp stressed that reports suggesting advanced discussions are inaccurate.
It was further explained that the only indirect contact came through an Egyptian agent who simply relayed that Al Ahly were monitoring the player. This did not develop into any official approach or discussions with the club’s management.
There has also been no official bid submitted for Oko, and no transfer proposal has been tabled. The player’s representatives confirmed that no contractual discussions have taken place at any stage.
While Oko continues to attract attention due to his performances in Saudi football, his future remains open, with no indication that a move is close or that formal negotiations have begun.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly SC remain active in the transfer market as they evaluate multiple attacking options for the upcoming season, though in Oko’s case, discussions remain at an exploratory and unconfirmed level.
